GALLERY: Prom then and now: Urban School teachers and students reflect on their prom experiences
Prom season has just come to a close, but the excitement and energy from that unique night is still buzzing around the school. Legend reporters Olivia DiNapoli and Olivia Meehan interviewed several students and teachers on their views of Urban’s 2014 prom, and their previous prom experiences.
Urban English teacher Lingerr Senghor enjoyed pre-prom festivities with her friend before their high school prom. Reflecting on that experience, she said: “My prom was fantastic. I went to high school in England and we more or less all met at the school, rented these gigantic, garish pink limos, and took them to a boat where we had our prom, in the center of London. It was amazing."
