A group of 15 Urban students, along with 11th and 12th grade Dean Dan Matz and Director of Outdoor Trips Sarah Fontaine, landed in Mumbai, India at approximately 2:50 a.m. Mumbai time (12 p.m. local time) on Dec. 14.
The trip attendees will follow a rigorous itinerary throughout their three-week stay, ranging from activities such as a “visit to the Siddhivinayak Hindu temple to ask for blessings on (the) trip” to visiting “an Adivasi ashramshalla (boarding school).”
As the trip progresses, students and chaperones will do their best to update a blog in attempt to document the group’s experiences. The squad returns on New Year’s Eve.
