Matt Lauer, Al Roker provide some comedic relief in low-speed luge run

Feb. 14 marked an important day in the history of news television. For the second time, The Today Show’s Al Roker and Matt Lauer donned the standard United States’ spandex suits and helmets to take on double’s luge. Their first run proved to be a success, with both of them making their way down the track on the sled safely, but the second run proved to be more tricky. They veered off course and smashed into the wall, with, fortunately, no injury. When the slowed down, the pair started sliding backwards, and it took one of the U.S.’s coaches to dive onto the track to stop them. You can watch the videos here and here.
